The water for this lovely looking groundnut crop is not supported by our borewell but entirely supported by the water harvested by the farm pond. It took three long years for my farmer to realise how beneficial the farm pond is. Not that the farm pond did not harvest any water for past few years but he was never this desperate for rains for his dying crop. Timely heavy rains satisfied the crop for next 10 days and the water harvested in pond will take care of the crop untill harvest. Never he was this desperate for timely intervention.
